Safeguarding policy

How we protect children and vulnerable adults who take part in our productions.

Scope

This policy applies to anyone working on an EXF production or visiting our studio, and covers contributors under 18 and adults who may be vulnerable.

What we do

• Children are only filmed with written consent from a parent or guardian, and with a licensed chaperone or parent present at all times.
• We follow the law on child performance licences and working hours.
• Crew working directly with children or vulnerable adults are briefed on this policy, and DBS-checked crew are available on request.
• No one is left alone with a child or vulnerable adult, and changing and rest areas are private and supervised.
• We never share a child's personal details publicly without their parent or guardian's consent.

Raising a concern

If you are worried about anyone's safety on one of our productions, tell the producer straight away or email josh.e@exf.studio. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. We take every concern seriously and will involve the relevant authorities where required.
